Mid Century 2.17 Carat Natural Marquise Cut Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1965
A beautiful and unique natural, unheated sapphire solitaire ring. The marquise cut stone – certified as natural and with no indictions of heating – is a rich, unusual burnt copper colour. The stone is secured in a six-claw platinum collet which sits atop a slim and tapering 18k white gold shank.
Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Madagascan in origin.
Cut – Marquise cut.
Colour – Orangey pink.
Clarity – Eye clean.
Carat – 2.17.

Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 12.5 x 5.4mm and sits 5.1mm from the finger.
