Mid Century 2.30 Carat Natural Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1955

A fabulously crafted coronet cluster. The centrepiece is a fine, deep red natural ruby that shows no evidence of heating or treatment. Surrounding the ruby are twelve brilliant cut diamonds, the whiteness of which emphasises the richness of the centre. The intricately pierced gallery leads to a slim yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is East African in origin.

Cut – Oval cut ruby and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – Diamonds are G.

Clarity – Some visible inclusions in the ruby, which is common for this gemstone. The diamonds are VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The ruby is approximately 2.30 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20.

Circa – 1955.

Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 16.25 x 13.5mm. Sits 7mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k gold. Stamped.
