Mid Century 2.44 Carat Purple Sapphire & Diamond Cocktail Ring, circa 1960
You’ll struggle to find another ring quite like this! A stunning velvety purple emerald cut sapphire – natural and unheated – set in a daring lateral cluster. The striking and unusual design, although dating from around 1960, holds a distinct Art Deco feel. Sixteen of the eighteen diamonds are box-set, with the two outer most stones in round rubover setting. Fun and fantastic.
Cut – Emerald cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – Diamonds are G.
Clarity – The sapphire has some visible inclusions (these can be seen in the photos). The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The sapphire is 2.44 carat, with an estimated diamond weight 0.36 carat.
Circa – 1960.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 24.4mm by 16.2 and sits 5.7mm from the finger.
Metal – 14k yellow and silver. Tested.
