Mid Century 2.89 Carat Yellow & Blue Natural Sapphire Solitaire Ring, circa 1950
RESERVED
A wondrous and unique sapphire, showcased simply and elegantly in a fine, handmade platinum mount. The natural and unheated sapphire, cut like an old cut diamond, is a blue with a clear stripe of yellow down the middle. The stone is secured by a six split claws in a fine platinum collet, leading to plain and tapering platinum shank. An impressive alternative to a classic solitaire engagement ring.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
