Mid Century 3.12 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1960
A natural Ceylon sapphire ring to die for. The baby blue sapphire – certified as having had no heat or treatment – is glowingly bright and lively. The stone is claw set within a surround of fourteen high white brilliant cut diamonds within an intricately wired white gold gallery, to a slim shank that splits at the shoulders.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to F.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI1. The sapphire is clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 3.12 carat, with approximately 0.28 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1960.
Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 9.1 x 7.1mm. The head of the ring is 14.1 x 11.75mm and sits 6.7mm from the finger.
Metal – Stamped 18CT – 18k white gold – and tests as such.
