Mid Century 3.18 Carat Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, French, circa 1960

A big and seriously impressive cluster ring. This French lovely, in platinum, is centred by cushion shaped old cut of a light champagne hue, the colour of which is emphasised by the whiteness of the ten round old cut diamonds in the surround. The cluster sits atop an open spray gallery, leading to sturdy D-shaped shank.

French hallmarks.

Cut – Cushion shaped old cut in the centre, with round old cuts in the surround.

Colour – The centre stone is M, the surround diamonds are G.

Clarity – VS1 in the centre. The surround stones are VS2 to SI1.

Carat – The centre diamond is a known 1.48 carat, with an estimated 1.70 carat in the surround.

Circa – 1960.

Size – S 1/2 (UK) or 9 3/8 (US) . Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 16 x 14mm and sits 9mm from the finger.
