Mid Century 4.00 Carat Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Cocktail Ring, circa 1960

Item #: 43AB292.

An extraordinary bold sapphire and diamond cluster. A large “swimming-pool” blue sapphire in the centre is top-and-tailed by two 0.35 carat (estimated) old mine cut diamonds. A further twelve diamonds frame the sapphire, which leads to a spray gallery. Very much a show-stopper.

Cut – Oval faceted mix cut sapphire with old mine cut diamonds.

Colour – Diamonds are G.

Clarity – The diamonds are VS-SI, but are all clean to the naked eye. There are some inclusions to the sapphire, plainly visible in the photos. These do impact on the vibrancy of the stone.

Carat – The sapphire is approximately 4.00 carat. The total estimated diamond weight is 1.90 carat.

Circa  – 1960.

Size – P 1/2 (UK) or 7.75 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The cluster is 20.5mm by 15.2mm and sits 7.75mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
