Mid Century 4.67 Carat Natural Green Sapphire Ring, circa 1960
A natural and unheated green sapphire takes centre stage in this most impressive of rings. The cushion shaped centre stone displays a rich, olive green and is secured in an eight claw collet that sits nice and low to the finger. The wide shoulders embracing the sapphire are each set with four eight-cut diamonds, leading to a slim white gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS1 to SI2; all diamonds are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 4.67 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.16.
Circa – 1960.
Size – M 1/2 (UK) or 6.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.65 x 8.45mm. Sits 6.5mm from the finger.
