Mid Century 4.83 Carat Natural Ceylon Pink Sapphire Cluster Ring, circa 1955
A unique and unusual vintage sapphire ring. The sapphire in the centre – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – displays a vibrant, glowing and, as far as we have ever seen, distinctive purplish pink. The sapphire is secured by four split claws within a surround that perfectly follows the shape of the stone, and is set with 24 four white and bright eight-cut diamonds. ‘V’ and ‘O’ detailing in the gallery leads to a slim, platinum shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
