Mid Century 5.27 Carat Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1955
A sapphire ring so bright that one suspects a battery might be hidden somewhere in it. This gorgeous, glowing stone displays an electric blue and is claw set within a surround of sixteen old cut and eight-cut diamonds. The stones are mounted in a coronet setting which sits nice and low to the finger and leads to a slender 18k yellow gold shank.

Cut – Oval cut sapphire. The diamonds are eight-cuts and old cut diamond.
Colour – The diamonds are G to J.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI1 to SI2.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 5.27 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.96.
Circa – 1955.
Size – O (UK) or 7 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is approximately 16.5 x 14.4mm and sits 6mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold. Tested.
