Mid Century 9.62 Carat Ceylon Yellow Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1970
A gleaming, golden yellow sapphire takes centre stage in this beautiful late 20th century cluster ring. The centre stone – certified as natural and with no heat treatment – displays a rich, almost honey yellow. Twelve pure white brilliant cut diamonds surround the centre stone, with six larger stones set high and six slightly lower in the open, wired gallery.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The sapphire is SI. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 9.62 carat, with approximately 0.90 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1970.
Size – U 1/2 (UK) or 10.5 (US), not including the sizing adjustors inside the band. Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 13.27 x 10.36mm. The head of the ring is 20.4 x 18.2mm. Sits 8.8mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
