Mid Century 7.82 Carat Minor Oil Colombian Emerald Ring, circa 1960
Total class. The top grade Colombian emerald is a glowing grassy green, and – rare for emeralds – has only received a minor amount of clarity enhancement (in the form of oiling). This large, impressive stone is secured in a white gold mounting, with fifty-four (twenty-seven either side) set in the high-set tri-split shoulders.
Accompanied by an Emerald Report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the emerald is Colombian and has only received minor clarity enhancement.
Cut – Octagonal cut emerald and round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – Diamonds are G.
Clarity – Some visible inclusions in the emerald (as is normal and expected for this stone). The diamonds are VS.
Carat – The emerald is a known 7.82 carat. The total estimated diamond weight 0.81 carat
Circa – 1960.
Condition – Some small nibbling to the girdle edge of the stone. The ring can be polished to “new” if you prefer.
Measurements – The emerald is 12.85 x 10.28mm. The ring sits 10.1mm from the finger.
Size – N 1/2 (UK) or 6.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
