Mid Century Old Cut Diamond & Onyx Pendant, circa 1950
A striking diamond and onyx pendant. Although classically Deco in style, this piece was crafted just a little bit later – in the 1950s. The centre diamond displays a distinctive cinnamon hue, a colour which is emphasised by the milgrained white gold rubover setting that sits in the centre of a large oval shaped piece of onyx. The border features a further fifteen old cut diamonds within a finely pierced and engraved gallery, to an articulated bale set with a further two diamonds.

Cut – Old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The centre diamond fancy light orangey brown. The diamonds on the outside are J.
Clarity – The diamonds range from SI1 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The centre stone is approximately 0.35, with a further approximate 0.51 carat in the surround and in the bale.
Circa – 1950.
Measurements – From the top of the bale to the bottom of the pendant is 47.2. The pendant is 20.5mm at the widest point.
Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
