Mid Century Old Pear Cut & Sapphire Cluster Ring, circa 1970
What a wild and wonderful piece! The fantastic ring features an old pear cut diamond, rubover and milgrained, and set within a natural, deep blue sapphire. The finely pierced and crafted platinum surround features sixteen white and bright eight-cut diamonds, leading to white gold topped shoulders to a flat, 18k rose gold shank. A ring that is as beautiful and is it unique.

Cut – Old pear cut in the centre of an oval cut sapphire. The smaller diamonds are eight-cuts.
Colour – The centre diamond is L. The smaller diamonds are G to I.
Clarity – The pear cut is SI1, with VS2 to SI1 diamonds on the outside. The sapphire is eye clean.
Carat – The pear cut is approximately 0.53 carat, with a further approximate 0.52 carat in the surround. The sapphire is approximately 6.45 carat.
Circa – 1970.
Size – P (UK) or 7.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 22.6 x 18.3mm and sits 9.75mm from the finger.
Metal – Stamped 18K – 18k rose gold – and tests as such. The white part of the ring tests as platinum.
