Mid Century Ruby & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1965
So, so pretty. The six round rubies are a vibrant purply pinkish red and are arranged in a “petal” formation with an eight-cut diamond as the bud. A surround of twenty four rose diamonds in the outer surround completes what is an undeniably lovely cluster ring. The fine hand-sawn gallery leads to slim and tapering yellow gold band.
Cut – Round cut rubies. The centre diamond is eight-cut with rose cut diamonds in the surround.
Colour – The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity –The rubies are clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The total approximate ruby weight is 0.48. The diamond weight is approximately 0.29 carat.
Circa – 1965.
Size – Q 1/2 (UK) or 8.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 13.5 x 12.75mm. Sits 5.75mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow and white gold. Tested.
