Mid Century Ruby & Diamond Drop Earrings, circa 1960

Daring, quirky and strikingly pretty ruby and diamond earrings. The top of the earring is a swirling rose gold figure-eight shape, the front part of which is set with three white and bright brilliant cut diamonds and accented with a bright, pinkish red ruby. The strong geometrical form of the bottom half of the earring contrasts with the top: the kite shaped yellow gold border holds a white gold panel of three diamonds.

Cut – Round cut rubies and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour –The diamonds are G to H.

Clarity – All the stones are clean to the naked eye. VS1 to VS2.

Carat – Each of the rubies is approximately 0.18 carat. Each earring holds approximately 0.10 carat of diamonds.

Circa – 1960.

Measurements – From the top of the earring to the bottom of the drop is 41.4mm

Metal – 14k rose, white and yellow gold.
