Mid Century Step Cut Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Trilogy Ring, circa 1960
A super pretty sapphire and diamond trilogy ring. The centre stone is a rich, deep blue with clear flashes of bright cobalt. A pair of cushion shaped old mine cut diamonds flank the centre stone and leads to a diamond-set yellow gold shank.
Cut – Square step cut sapphire with old mine cut diamonds either side. The diamonds in the shoulders are round brilliant cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – The old cut diamonds are VS2, with VS1 to VS2 diamonds in the shoulders. The sapphire is clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 0.60 carat. The old cut diamonds are approximately 0.25 carat each, with a further approximate 0.11 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1960.
Measurements – The from edge of one outer diamond to the other is 12.6mm. The ring is 5.25mm at the widest point and sits 4.6mm from the finger.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – Stamped 14K – 14k yellow gold – and tests as such.
