Mid Century Synthetic Sapphire & Diamond Pin Brooch, circa 1955
A sapphire and diamond pin brooch of real quality. A line of eleven slightly graduating baguette cut synthetic sapphires are channel set in milgrained platinum, with eight (sixteen total) blindingly white eight-cut diamonds either side. Secured on a 18k white gold pin with a trombone clasp.
Cut – Baguette cut sapphire with eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity –The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The total approximate sapphire weight is 0.54 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.28 carat.
Circa – 1955.
Measurements – 70.35mm long. The brooch is 3.1mm at the widest point.
Metal – The main body of the brooch is platinum. The pin and clasp is 18k white gold. Tested.
