Retro 1.41 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1950
A fine diamond and platinum ring. The central old cut diamond – of good colour, clarity and with plenty of life and sparkle – is secured by four triple claws in a box collet. The vented shoulders each hold six eight-cut diamonds, with a triangle-set diamond at the top of the shaped knife edge shank. Delightful and unique.
Cut – Old mine / miner cut in the centre with eight-cut diamonds in shoulders.
Colour – I in the centre, with G colour diamonds in the shoulders.
Clarity – The central diamond is SI1. The surrounding diamonds are VS1.
Carat – 1.41 in the centre, with approximately 0.15 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1950.
Size – M 1/2 (UK) or 5.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The central diamond is approximately 6.8mm in diameter and sits 6.4mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Stamped and tested.
