Retro 1.70 Carat Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1945

Delicate and very, very pretty. The central natural ruby is rich pigeon blood red, rubover and milgrain set in yellow gold. Twelve old cut diamonds – claw and rubover set – surround the main stone. Beautifully detailed basketwork in the underneath leads to a very fine white gold band.

Cut – The ruby is a faceted oval shaped. The diamonds old cuts.

Colour – The diamonds are J to L.

Clarity – The diamonds are SI1 to SI2. There are some visible inclusions to the ruby (which is common in rubies) but, crucially, this does not impact the vibrancy of the stone.

Carat – The ruby is 1.70 carat. The total estimated diamond weight is 0.60 carat.

Circa – 1945.

Size – R (UK) or 8 5/8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The cluster is 14.9mm by 14.75mm and sits 4.9mm from the finger.
