Retro 12.01 Carat Octagonal Cut Natural Ceylon Sapphire Ring, circa 1950
Utterly fabulous. The large octagonal cut sapphire – natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – is presented in the most unusual and ornate of mounts. The sapphire is set laterally across the finger, with two high white brilliant cut diamonds either side. An intricately pierced gallery leads to a flat shank. Stands out from the crowd.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
