Retro 12.44 Carat Natural Cabochon Sapphire Solitaire Ring, French, circa 1950

A vintage sapphire ring of real style. The natural, unheated cabochon sapphire displays a rich, deep blue and is set in a heavy weight 18k yellow gold mount with shaped horizontal fluting across the top half of the ring. A glorious statement piece.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is of basaltic origin.

Cut – Oval cabochon.

Carat – 12.44 carat.

Circa – 1950.

Measurements – The sapphire is 14.31 x 11.37mm. The ring is 13.6mm at the widest point and sits 8.5mm from the finger.
