Retro 14.48 Carat Ceylon Yellow Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1950
The most awesome vintage yellow sapphire ring. The centre stone – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – is a rich, honey-coloured orangey yellow. The stone is rubover set in 18k yellow gold and surrounded by 24 high white and internally clean round brilliant cut diamonds which graduate in size as they travel around the sapphire. Delightful detailing in the gallery leading to a slim, platinum shank with a further four (two each side) diamond in the shoulders. This is just wonderful.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
