Retro 3.50 Carat Natural Purple Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1950
A rich and regal sapphire – natural, unheated and displaying a gorgeous purple hue. The sapphire is rubover set in platinum with twenty-four high white and clean eight-cut diamonds in the surround, and a further six (thee either side) in the shoulders. The fine “curtain” detailing in the gallery is indicative of the class and quality in this piece.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and originates from Madagascar.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 3.50 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.45 carat.
Circa – 1950.
Size – L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 10.9 x 9.2mm. The head of the ring is 15.5 x 14.25mm and sits 4.3mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
