Retro 4.70 Carat Natural Green Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1950
Striking, unique and stunningly made. The cushion shape natural, no heat sapphire in the centre displays a light, almost lime green. The centre stone is rubover and milgrain set, and surrounded by twenty-two white and internally clean rose cut diamonds in the first halo, and a further thirty-four diamonds the second – floating – halo. A fine handsawn gallery leads to a slender, fluted shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. The diamonds are VS1 to SI1; again, all are eye clean.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 4.70 carat, with approximately 0.56 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1950.
Size – L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 11 x 9.9mm. The head of the ring is 22 x 18.8mm and sits 5.3mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
