Retro 5.22 Carat Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Double Cluster Ring, circa 1960
A glowing Ceylon sapphire centres this immense mid century cocktail ring. The sapphire is rubover set within a two platinum halos of high white and clean old eight-cut diamonds, atop a fine, hand-sawn under-gallery. The ornate diamond-set shoulders lead to a triple-wire shank. Eye catching for all the right reasons!
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire originates from Sri Lanka (Ceylon).
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and old eight-cut diamonds.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1.
Carat – The sapphire is 5.22 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.74.
Circa – 1960.
Size – O (UK) or 7 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is approximately 20.9 x 16.4mm and sits 6.4mm from the finger.
Metal – The head of the ring and the shoulders are in platinum. The shank is 9k white gold. Tested.
