Retro 7.24 Carat (+ 1.08 Carat) Natural Ceylon Sapphire Cluster Ring, circa 1950
A fabulous retro ring, dressing in blue. The oval cut centre sapphire – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon – displays a glowing cornflower hue. Eighteen rich, royal blue sapphire are channel set in the surround, with ornate swirl detailing in the under-gallery. A further four (two each side) sapphire are set in the shoulders, leading to a slim white gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire in the centre with a round cut sapphires in the surround.
Clarity – The centre sapphire is SI. The outer sapphires are VS.
Carat – The centre sapphires is 7.24 carat, with a further approximate 1.08 carat in the surrounds.
Circa – 1950.
Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The centre sapphire approximately is 15.2 x 7.3mm. The head of the ring is 22.4 x 12.7mm. Sits 7.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
