Retro Natural Pearl & 1.18 Carat Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1950
A vintage pearl ring of undeniably quality. The natural (not cultured) saltwater pearl in the centre displays an impressive lustre and sits in the centre of a fine cluster of diamonds. Four old mine cut diamonds of approximately 0.20 carat are set in each corner, with a further twenty-four old and eight-cut diamonds arranged in the surround which leads to a flat and white wide, reverse tapering white gold shank.
Accompanied by a pearl report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the pearl is natural, saltwater.
Cut – Old mine cuts and eight cuts..
Colour – The diamonds are G to I.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – Each of the four larger old mine cuts in the corners are approximately 0.20 carat each, with a total approximate diamond weight of 1.18 carat.
Circa – 1940.
Size – P (UK) or 7.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The pearl is approximately 8.1 x 8mm. The head of the ring is 19 x 12.6mm and sits 6.3mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. French hallmarks.
