Victorian 0.75 Carat Sapphire & Diamond Ring, dated 1876
An unbelievably well persevered example of a very popular mid to late Victorian ring. A trilogy of rich and bright blue sapphires (natural, unheated) interset with two pairs of high white old cut diamonds. Splendid scroll detailing in the gallery and down the shoulders lead to a sturdy D-shaped band.
Cut – Old cushion shaped sapphire and old mine / miner cut diamonds .
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – All the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – Approximately 0.75 carat of sapphire and 0.16 carat of diamonds.
Dated – 1876.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 16.1mm by 5.5mm and sits 3.9mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Hallmarked.
