Victorian 1.00 Carat Demantoid Garnet & 1.30 Carat Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1890
A breathtaking antique demantoid garnet ring. It’s incredibly unusual to find demantoid garnets of this size, and fine example is internally clean and displays a slightly olive-y hue with bright flashes of electric green. The stone is flanked by a pear of cushion shaped old mine cut diamonds, with a total of six rose cut diamonds dotted between the three gems. The beautifully carved gallery leads to ornately carved shoulders to a slim D-shaped shank.
Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) confirming the garnet is demantoid.
