Victorian 1.00 Carat Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, Chester, 1898
A wonderfully characterful ring. Set with a rose cut diamond suspended within a cluster of eight rose cuts. All the diamonds are close backed, with those on the outside of the cluster set in silver. The head of the ring appears to be Georgian, while the band – with clear hallmarks from 1898 – looks to have been added later.
Cut – Rose cuts.
Colour – H to I.
Clarity – The central stone is I1. The surrounding diamonds are VS2 to SI2.
Carat – Approximate total of 1.00 carat.
Dated – 1898.
Size – P (UK) or 7 1/2 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Condition – There is a surface reaching fracture on the central diamond.
Measurements – The cluster is 13.8mm in diameter and sits 6.7mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold (hallmarked). The diamonds on the outside of the cluster are set in silver (tested).
