Victorian 1.00 Carat Rose Cut Diamond Hexagonal Solitaire Ring, circa 1870
A satisfyingly chunky Victorian solitaire ring. The very clean and white rose cut diamond is claw set within a milgrained hexagonal setting. The stone sits nice and low to the finger, and leads to a substantial and beveled shank. The open backed setting features fine star-burst detailing – just the sort of attention to detail one never finds on a modern piece.
