A rare, important and highly impressive Victorian pendant. This piece, which can also be work as a brooch, features a striking rose and old mine cut set silver bow, backed in yellow gold from which hangs a large sapphire and diamond double cluster. The cushion cut diamond in the centres is a deep, midnight blue with two rows of old mine cut diamonds and black enamel in the surround. A dramatic statement piece.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and old mine cut and rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds range from H to K.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The old cut diamonds are SI1 – SI2. The rose cut diamonds are SI1 to I1; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 1.26 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 2.50 carat.
Circa – 1880.
Measurements – The overall length of the piece is 34.8mm The cluster is 20 x 21mm.
Metal – Oxidised silver backed with 9k yellow gold.
