Victorian 1.50 Carat Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1860
A fine mid-Victorian sapphire cluster ring, set with a deep royal blue sapphire. Rubover set in silver, the colour of the sapphire is highlighted by the colourless of the twelve old cut diamonds in the surround. A classic design, beautifully realised.
Cut – Cushion shaped mix cut sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 1.50 carat, with and estimated 0.96 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1860.
Size – K (UK) or 5 1/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 15.3mm by 12.8mm and sits 4.5mm from the finger.
Metal – The stones are set in silver, the band is 14k gold. Tested.
