Victorian 1.88 Carat Cabochon Emerald & Diamond Pendant Necklace, circa 1900
A supremely lovely Victorian emerald necklace. The central Colombian cabochon emerald is a bright, verdant green, the colour of which is highlighted by the border of white diamonds set in black, oxidised silver in the surround. Six beautifully formed fluer de lises fan out from the central cluster, each interspaced by rubover-set old cut diamonds. On a fixed, 16 inch yellow gold trace chain.

Cut – Round cabochon emerald. The larger diamonds are old mine cuts, with rose cuts and old mine cuts set around the emerald.
Colour – The larger diamonds are H to J. The diamonds around the emeralds are I to K.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI1 to I1; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The emerald is approximately 1.88 carat, with a total estimated diamond weight of 0.88 carat.
Circa – 1900.
Measurements – The emerald is approximately 7.8mm in diameter. The pendant is 32.9 x 28.75mm. The chain is 16 inches (40.5cm).
Metal – 18k yellow gold. The central diamonds are set in oxidised silver.
