Victorian 2.22 Carat Natural Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1900
A truly exceptional antique sapphire and diamond ring. The centre stone – certified as natural and with no heat treatment – is a rich, deep blue and is surrounded by twelve white and bright old mine cut diamonds in a coronet setting. Beautifully carved scrolling detailing in the shoulders leads to a slim yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating.
Cut – Slightly cushion sapphire and old cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are I to J.
Clarity – Some visible inclusions in the sapphire. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 2.22 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 1.08 carat.
Circa – 1900.
Size – S 1/2 (UK) or 9 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 7.14 x 6.97mm. The head of the ring is 13.7 x 14.25mm and sits 6mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold. Tested.
