Victorian 2.25 Carat Sapphire & 2.26 Carat Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1860
A Victorian sapphire and diamond ring of character, history – and real beauty. The bright blue sapphire in the centre is surrounded by ten old mine cut diamonds (with the two at the top and bottom of the cluster slightly larger than the rest) all set in blacked oxidised silver. The under-gallery features simple hooped detailing, leading to a slim, 18k yellow gold shank.

Cut – Oval cut sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds range from G to M.
Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. The diamonds range from SI1 to SI2.
Carat – The sapphire is 2.25 carat with a total approximate diamond weight of 2.26 carat.
Circa – 1860.
Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 19.1 x 15mm. The ring sits 5.4mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold. The sapphire and diamonds are set in silver. Tested.
