Victorian 3.48 Carat Old Cut Diamond Pear Drop Pendant, circa 1890
A dramatically beautiful Victorian pendant. The bright and clean old pear cut diamond drops within an immaculately striking surround, with thirty-seven round old cut stones are in cut-back settings. The white and clean diamond are set in which is backed in gold, with a simple rose gold bale.

Cut – Old pear cut in the centre, with round old mine cuts in the surround.
Colour – H to I.
Clarity – The centre stone is VS2. The diamonds in the surround are VS1 to SI1; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The centre stone is a known 1.48 carat. A further (estimated) 2.00 carat in the surround.
Circa – 1890.
Measurements – The centre diamond is 9.4 x 6.3mm. The pendant, not including the hoop at the top, is 29.8 x 23.6mm.
Metal – The diamonds are in silver. The back of the pendant is 9k gold (both tested). The chain, not original to the piece, will be hallmarked 18k gold.
