Victorian 3.50 Carat Natural Burmese Sapphire Three Stone Ring, circa 1880
This really stands apart. The three old cushion cut natural Burmese sapphires are a deep and dramatic blue. The centre stone displays a slight colour change when in incandescent light, giving this impressive ring an extra twist. The stones are claw set in a hand-sawn gallery, leading to a sturdy yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cuts.
Colour – The outer stones are blue. The middle stone is blue in daylight and purple blue in incandescent light.
Clarity – The sapphires are loupe clean.
Carat – The middle sapphire is approximately 1.80 carat. The total approximate sapphire weight is 3.50 carat.
Circa – 1880.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – From the outer edge of one sapphire to the other is 16.5mm. The ring is 9.7mm at the widest point and sits 5.8mm from the finger.
Metal – 9k yellow gold. Tested.
