Victorian 6.00 Carat Sky Blue Cabochon Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1880

An absolutely magical stone. The gorgeous, glowing sky blue cabochon sapphire is natural and unheated. Twenty rose cut diamonds surround the central stone, with a further two old cut diamonds set at the top of the shank. Arresting, eye catching and unique. A real find.

Cut – Oval shaped cabochon sapphire and rose cut diamonds. The two diamonds at the top of the shank are old mine / miner cuts.

Colour – Diamonds are H.

Clarity – The sapphire is SI1. The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.

Carat – The sapphire is conservatively estimated to weigh 6.00 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.70 carat.

Circa – 1800.

Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 16.5mm by 15mm and sits 9.6mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k yellow gold. The gems are set in silver.
