Victorian Black Opal Solitaire Ring, circa 1900
A superb Australian black opal with a lively play of colours. The stone is a secured in a finely crafted seventeen claw collet. The wide, rose gold D-shaped shank splits at the shoulders. Simple, but very, very effective.
Cut – Oval cabochon.
Carat – Approximately 1.25.
Circa – 1900.
Size – U 1/2 (UK) or 10.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The opal is approximately 9.7 x 8mm. Sits 5mm from the finger.
