Victorian 2.20 Colombian Emerald & Diamond “Bow” Drop Earrings, circa 1870
So, so lovely. These beautifully and delicately crafted drop earrings a high white claw set diamond which is joined, via a linking “swoosh,” to a rose cut set diamond bow. Dropping from this is a pear drop Colombian emerald of the absolute perfect hue; a rich blue-y green. A fine, romantic pair of earrings.
Cut – The diamonds are transitional cuts (at the top) and rose cuts. The emeralds are pear cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The emeralds are SI2 (these have very good clarity for emeralds). The diamonds are VS1 to SI1 (all are clean to the naked eye).
Condition – The top diamonds appear to be replacement stones.
Carat – Each emerald is approximately 1.10. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.08.
Circa – 1870.
Measurements – From the top diamond to the bottom of the emerald is 44.7mm.
Metal – Silver. Tested
