Victorian Natural Baroque Pearl “Jester” Pendant, circa 1850
Admittedly, this is one you either love or loath – and we absolutely love it! The unusually shaped natural (saltwater) pearl has been creatively formed into a jester’s head. His skullcap is set with fourteen cut diamonds in silver. Blue sapphire eyes gleam above the strong “nose” while a cabochon coral tongue cheekily pokes from the gold lips. A further twelve diamonds are set in the ruff collar. Utterly inspired!
