Victorian Natural Conch Pearl & Old Cut Diamond Pendant, circa 1890
Victorian jewellery at it most creative and beautiful. The conch pearl (certified as natural) displays a stunning, soft pink and is held in a stunning silver cup set with fifteen rose cut diamonds in five graduating lines. Four old cut diamonds are set in silver cut-away settings in a “Y” formation, leading to a 18k yellow gold trace chain.
Accompanied by a pearl report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the pearl is natural (not cultured), from a saltwater conch.
Cut – The top diamonds are old cuts, the diamonds on the cup holding the pearl are rose cuts.
Colour – The diamond are I to J.
Clarity – All the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – Approximately 0.12 carat of old cuts and a further approximate 0.15 carat of rose cuts.
Circa – 1890.
Measurements – The chain is 13 inches long. Please let us know if you would prefer a longer chain. The pearl is approximately 9.4 x 6.8 x 6.2mm.
Metal – The chain is 18k yellow gold. The diamonds are in silver. Tested.
