Victorian Natural Pearl & Rose Cut Diamond Brooch, circa 1860
An impressive Victorian pearl brooch. Crafted in yellow gold and silver, this Royal brooch features a crown from which two rose cut diamond-set ribbons cascade. Two bows balance the top of the piece with a pair of natural saltwater pearls dangling from the bottom. With sixty diamonds set in silver and fine engraving to the reverse, this gorgeous piece is packed with details but, undoubtedly, the focal point is the large, natural saltwater pearl hanging in the middle. Vintage treasure.
Accompanied by a pearl report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the pearls are natural, saltwater.
Carat – Approximately 0.30 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1860.
Measurements – The central pearl is approximately 9.2 x 8.1mm. The brooch is 41.6 x 30.25mm
Metal – Silver backed in 9k yellow gold. The pin is 18k gold. Tested.
