Victorian Rose Cut Diamond & Natural Pearl Necklace, circa 1860
An arrestingly beautiful Victorian necklace. This impressively crafted piece features twelve rose cut diamonds in foiled, closed back settings, cascading from a silver trace chain adorned with sixteen natural saltwater pearls. Utterly extraordinary.
Cut – Rose cut diamonds.
Colour – I to J.
Clarity – SI1 to I1. All the diamonds are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – A total approximate diamond weight of 2.90 carat.
Circa – 1860.
Condition – The clasp and plain part of the chain are not original. The middle segment is original.
Measurements – The overall length is 20 inches. The pearl and diamond segment is 6 inches. The overall length can be shortened if you prefer.
Metal – The original part of the necklace is silver with the diamond settings backed in 18k yellow gold. The “new” chain is 18k white gold. Tested.
