Oozing with character and lot a little quality. This late nineteenth century ruby and old cut diamond navette ring is a Victorian classic; set with fourteen old mine cut diamond and centred with rectangular pigeon blood ruby. Mounted in a pierced gallery leading to a robust graduating D-shape yellow gold band.
Hallmarked Birmingham (UK), with date marks indicating 1879.
Cut – Old mine / miner cut diamonds and a cushion shaped mixed cut ruby.
Colour – Diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – SI1; all the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The ruby is approximately 0.20 carat, with an estimated total of 0.60 carat of diamonds.
Dated – 1879.
Measurements – The cluster is 16.1mm by 9.5 and sits 4.7mm from the finger.
