Mid Century 3.00 Carat Natural Burmese Sapphire & Diamond Ring, circa 1955
A stunning sapphire, beautifully and simply showcased. The natural and unheated sapphire is rubover set in white gold, with twenty-eight cut diamonds in cutaway settings in the surround. The finely pierced under-gallery leads to a sturdy white gold shank, set with four (two each side) eight cut diamonds in the shoulders. High class.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphires show no indication of heating, and is of Burmese (Myanmar) origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is SI (clean to the naked eye). The diamonds are VS1 to SI1 (clean to the naked eye).
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 3.00 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.24 carat.
Circa – 1955.
Condition – The ring has been reshanked (not by us). The ring can be polished if you prefer.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 8.6 x 7.3mm. The head of the ring is 12.5 x 11mm. Sits 5mm from the finger.
