Art Deco 0.82 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1940

A fantastically individual engagement ring. The cushion shaped old cut diamond in the centre displays a distinct golden tone, the colour of which is emphasised by the white and clean baguette cuts in the shoulders. The geometric detailing in the gallery reveals the ring’s Deco origins, and leads to a D-shaped yellow gold shank.

Cut – Old mine cut. The accent diamonds baguette cuts.

Colour – Light yellow in the centre. The diamonds in the shoulders are F and I.

Clarity – VS1 in the centre. The diamonds in the shoulders are VS1 and VS2.

Carat – A known 0.82 carat in the centre. The total approximate weight of the diamonds in the shoulders is 0.15 carat.

Circa – 1940.

Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements – The diamond in the centre is approximately 5 x 5.5mm. Sits 5.8mm from the finger.

Metal – Stamped 18CT – 18k yellow and white gold – and tests as such.
