Late 20th Century 2.00 Carat Ruby & 1.00 Carat Diamond Ring, dated 1983

A top quality ruby surrounded by top quality diamonds in a top quality mount. The rich and dramatic hue of the glowing red ruby is emphasised by a halo of colourless diamonds. The fine mount features fleur de lis motifs at the shoulders, leading to a grooved band. Exceptional.

Cut – The ruby is a faceted oval shaped. The diamond are round brilliant cuts.

Colour – The diamond are E.

Clarity – The diamonds are VS. There are some visible inclusions to the ruby (which is common in rubies) but, crucially, this is not impact the translucency of the stone.

Carat – The ruby is approximately 2.oo carat. The total estimated diamond weight is 1.o0 carat.
